​We want to take a moment to welcome you to the Milka Clarke Stroke Brain Trauma Foundation Website, also known as the Westmoreland Stroke Foundation, online community. We are a Jamaican non-profit organization focusing 100 percent of our resources and attention on stroke brain trauma. We are doing this because "Stroke Don't Joke" and Jamaica needs a serious stroke outreach! 

We are a leading Jamaican resource on stroke and a driving force behind more stroke awareness education, better stroke prevention, faster diagnosis, more emergent treatment, and rehabilitation that meets the wallet and needs of Jamaican stroke survivors, their caregivers and families.

Our primary goals are to:
  • Increase awareness of life-saving stroke warning signs and symptoms through stroke awareness education.
 
  • Empower survivors and improve quality of life in the stroke community.

  • Increase the conversation about stroke, the leading cause of death in Jamaica and Westmoreland, the number one cause of death for women and the number two cause of death for men in Jamaica.
